KIP WILKES

OWNER/GENERAL MANAGER

 

Kip is a local boy graduating from Star Valley High School in 1981. He worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator until 1985. He was then employed with 7-11 Corporation as a Store Manager. He managed the 7-11 store located in Afton, WY until he took a position with 7-11 as a Field Representative overseeing the operation of eight stores. Kip purchased Valley Market in 1991 with the assistance of two other partners. In 1994, Kip became the sole owner of the market. For many years, Kip was the Chief Meat Cutter for the store as well as the Manager overseeing all operations. Currently Kip is Owner/Executive Store Director.



TAMI ERICKSON

OFFICE MANAGER

 

Tami has earned the prestigious title of longest loyal employee. She has worked at Valley Market longer than any other employee there. She originally started her employment in the old store on Hwy 89 as a checker, helping with produce, freight and grocery ordering. When the new store was buildt she was promoted as the Scan Coordinator/Office Manager. She has been employed for seventeen years, eleven of those years as Office Manager.



POLLI EDWARDS

GENERAL OFFICE ASSISTANT

 

Polli has been employed with Valley Market since 1995, 15 years. She originally started her employment in the old store working freight, checking and assisting in produce. She then was promoted to the bakery section of the original store where she specialized in donuts. When the new Valley Market store was built in town she became the Head Bakery Manager for three years until she was promoted as an Office Assistant to the General Office Manager.



TONYA TAYLOR

DELI MANAGER

 

Tonya started working at Valley Market as a supplemental job for her family, working the early morning freight. Simultaneously she also worked as a dispatcher for Brundage Bone Concrete company for three years. When Kip Wilkes, (Valley Market- Owner) purchased the nearby Chevron Station she became the Bakery/Deli Manager there; which she was for one year. Tonya has recently been promoted to the Deli Manager position where she has been the last three months with Valley Market. Prior to her employ with Valley Market, Tonya ran a day care in her home for eleven years.



JILL JENKINS

BAKERY MANAGER

 

Jill has been employed with Valley Market for nine years as the Bakery Manager. Prior to her employment here at the market Jill worked for one year in the Star Valley High School Cafeteria and two and a half years for Familee Thriftway. From her past employment at Family Thriftway she obtained education and training in baking and cake decorating.



STEVEN COZIAH

ASSISTANT BAKER

 

Steven has worked at Valley Market for three years. He has stepped up as the Bakery Manager while Jill Jenkins the regular Manager recovers from an injury. Steven's specialty in the Bakery is Wedding Cakes. Steven worked for DVS Landscaping for one and a half years prior to working at Valley Market. He also has several years experience working in the plumbing industry. Steven has worked for his father's plumbing business since he was 12 years old.



SUSAN DUTRA

GROCERY MANAGER

 

Susan started her employ at Valley Market after working at Smiths for twenty four years where she was employed as the Front End Manager/ Checker. She has extensive experience in several different areas in the grocery business with prior work history as the Non Foods Manager, experience in meat wrapping and wall deli. Susan started as a Checker at the market and was promoted to be the General Merchandise Manager. Susan was then again promoted as the Grocery Manager. Susan has worked at Valley Market since 2007 for two and a half years.



ALI FISHER

DAIRY MANAGER

 

Ali has been employed with Valley Market for the last year and a half. She was a checker for two months then quickly promoted as the Dairy Manager. Before coming to Valley Market her work history consisted of construction work for 4 years, being a nanny for her sister while she studied photography for eight years.



SHARON MOTZKUS

FROZEN FOODS MANAGER

 

Sharon has been employed at Valley Market for five and a half years, in 2008 she was promoted as the Frozen Foods Manager. Before her employment with us she worked at home as a teleservice agent for 10 years and did general office work at Leisure Valley for 1 year.



LINDA PERRY

NATURAL FOODS MANAGER

 

Linda began her employment with Valley Market three years ago in 2007 as a Checker. In 2008, she was promoted as the Natural Foods Manager.



SARA CARBAJAL

GENERAL MERCHANDISE MANAGER

 

Sara has been employed at Valley Market for the past two and a half years. She first started as a Fronter/Facer in the market. Then she was promoted as a Checker. In 2009 she was promoted as the General Merchandise Manager. Sara is originally from Peru where she was employed as a Registered Nurse.



DON WOOD

MEAT MANAGER

 

Don wood is our Meat Manager.  Come on over and see what is available and what we can do for you in the meat department!



LISA SANDERSON

PRODUCE MANAGER

 

Lisa started working at Valley Market years ago in the old store on Hwy 89, North of Thayne as a Checker. She also assisted in the produce area as needed. When the new store was built in town she became the Produce Manager and has been so for the last eleven years. Lisa has been employed overall fifteen years at Valley Market.



DON WOOD

ASSISTANT BUTCHER

 

Don has worked in the Meat Industry for 25 years. He started working in the Valley for Kirk Dana at Dana Cold Storage. Later he worked for Lael Nield at Nield Market in Afton. He then worked for E.A. Millers in Hyrum, Utah at the packaging plant. He gained great experience in Laramie for two years and managed their meat department at Ideal Foods. After working in Laramie he managed the meat department at Smith's in Jackson Hole. He currently is in the Valley Market meat department as Assistant Butcher.
